As I mentioned in my introduction to NaNoWriMo 2007, I started over on Day 7. I just didn't like the story or direction I'd started with on Day 4, and since I'd only produced 1600-ish words that day, I felt like I could afford to start anew.
I skipped writing the first chapter, instead starting with the second. Why? I was having trouble finding the right words for the opening scene, and I had a clearer picture of the second chapter in my head. So, I started there. I figure it'll be easy to go back and write the first chapter when I run into writer's block.
If you choose to read my work-in-progress, please bear in mind I haven't written in ages and I'm not trying to "write well" per say, I'm just trying to put to paper what's in my head.
